Today it’s been revealed that the device will launch in Spain in late August for €639 (890 American Dollars or 550 British Pounds). Samsung originally said this beast was supposed to come out in June, but they messed up apparently. According to Akihabara News, the M8910 will arrive in Europe in June. It will boast a resolution bump from the original 8-megapixel Samsung Pixon, which some users reckoned was basically an 8-megapixel Tocco.

The M8910 features a 3.1-inch AMOLED touch screen. Camera functions include touch-based focus, allowing you to tap on the screen to select what you want to focus on. Samsung describes a fast-saving feature, which is designed to allow you to take the next picture quickly rather than waiting the full amount of time for the phone’s brain to wrestle with each dozen-megapixel image.

It also includes a 28mm wide-angle lens and Xenon flash. In addition to stills, the M8910 shoots 720×480-pixel video at 30 frames per second. Which all sounds great, but we’ll wait until we’ve had a hands-on and seen some test shots before we get really excited–after all, there’s still the matter of that tiny little phone-size image sensor.Samsung M8910 Pixon comes with a new feature called Share Pix that lets the user easily upload & download images and videos over social networking websites like Facebook, Flickr , MySpace etc. This high-end mobile phone comes with strong connectivity specifications that provide superb data transfer rate at greater speed.

LG has announced its GM730 at Mobile World Congress, a functional and easy to use touchscreen smartphone equipped with Windows Mobile 6.1 and LG’s S-Class user interface. Users can quick scroll through icons, easily browse contact information, or change settings with intuitive touch controls.

With a slim design, the GM730 is perfect for on-the-go consumers who are looking for a powerful yet affordable smartphone choice. The phone features a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display and a 5 megapixel camera. It also features WiFi and aGPS connectivity for expanded networking and navigation integration. The GM730 has quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support and dual-band UTMS (900/2100MHz) support with HSUPA data for high-speed connectivity. It will be available in the first half of 2009 and more technical specifications are on the way.

LG expects to ship the GM730 during the first half of 2009, so unfortunately, it will run Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Edition. But the company said it would release a Windows Mobile 6.5 version in the second half of the year.

What you do get right away is LG’s new S-Class 3D user interface. S-Class features a cube layout with four customizable home screens that you can rotate through with the flick of your finger. It slightly reminded us of HTC’s TouchFlo interface on the original HTC Touch, but much, much cooler.
